“I’m still standing better than I ever did” that line gives me chills every time my grandfather had heart problems and an infection in his leg We didn’t know why so he went to the hospital many times but it didn’t get any better he had trouble moving and walking. They found a problem in his heart so he had to come with a ambulance to our local hospital. They did a heart surgery and a little transplant in there too and the surgery was done. It was Easter on the time and it was my worst Easter of my life he was in a coma for two weeks we came to the hospital to see him every day and one day the doctor said he was not going to make it I couldn’t focus on school and I was so sad and with that small hope we still had in our hearts he woke up we were so happy and he’s still recovering but he’s now “standing better than he’s ever did” And this song always touches me like it would be my grandpa singing this❤
